rather可以和比较级形容词或者too连用。

that littered the ground，这是一个that引导的定语从句，在这里修饰junk。

这句话中出现了两个定语从句它们分别是I put into my mouth和I had dipped into
the cup，都省略了关系代词that / which，分别修饰the finger和the one。
所谓定语从句是指在复合句中，修饰一个名词、名词词组或代词，起定语作用的从句叫做定语从句。被定语从句所修饰的词叫先行词。定语从句必须放在先行词之后，引导定语从句的词叫关系词。如：定语从句中的关系词
常见的关系词有关系代词that, which, who, whom, whose和关系副词where, when, why等。
由于定语从句在高中阶段将会是一个重点语法项目，这里只简单讲一下定语从句的种类
（1）由that引导的定语从句
一般情况下that可指人或物，可以代替who, whom和which，在从句中作主语或谓语动词、介词的宾语
Who is the person that is reading the newspaper over there? 在那边正读报纸的那个人是谁？
（2）由who, whom和whose引导的定语从句
This is the boy who helped me. 这就是帮助过我的那个男孩。
She is the girl whom you wanted to look for. 她就是你想要找的那个女孩。
The girl whose mother is a teacher is waiting for you outside.
她的母亲是教师的那个女孩在外面等你。
（3）由which引导的定语从句
which指物，在从句中作主语或谓语动词、介词的宾语。如：
This is the book which my mother bought me last week.
这就是我妈妈上周买给我的那本书。
（4）由where, when和why引导的定语从句
I will never forget the first day when I went to school.
我永远忘不了我上学的第一天。
She will go back to the school where she studied nextweek.下周她要回到她曾学习过的学校。
I don’t know the reason why she quarreled with Liu Mei.
我不知道她同刘梅吵架的原因。

（1）order sb. to do sth. 命令某人做某事

我们应该学习她乐于助人。
