18.be hard to do … (人, 物)难做的 (do是及物动词, 或动词后面附介词)
This book is hard to understand.
= It’s hard to understand this book.

= It’s hard to get along with him.

21.rather的用法
rather和quite同样都可以用来修饰名词, 通常置于冠词之前, 但
