add ... to... 把……加到……中
e.g. Please add some water into the glass.
add up.. 合计 They add up all the figures.
add up to 总共是,总计为 The figures add up to 450.
语法
原因状语从句(参考同步导学方案P93)
时间状语从句
as 表示 “当……的时候”着重强调主句和从句的动作同时或者几乎同时发生。
e.g. She came upstairs as I was cooking.
When 既可予以表示时间点,也可以表示时间段,主句与从句的动作可以同时发生也可以先后发生。
e.g. It was raining when we arrived.
When(After) he came back,his father gave him a letter.
He had learnt more than 200 words when(before) he went to school.
While 引导的从句必须是延续性动词。
E.g. Please don't talk so loud while others are working.
其他的引导时间状语从句的连接词:
directly / immediately / the moment + 句子 “一……就……”
hardly / scarcely ... when... "一……就……"
no sooner ... than... "一……就……'
日常用语
I don't believe a word of it. 我一个字都不相信。/ 我一点都不信。
Oh, come on! I can't believe you said that! 哦,别这样啊!我不信!
You must be joking! 你在开玩笑吧!
You can't be serious! 你不是认真的吧!
