Teaching aims and demands:

并能在实际情景中运用。要求模仿正确,语调自然。

3. 能听懂,会说以下国家或物品的英文缩写PRC, CAN, UK, USA, CD, TV, VCD等。
4. 能听懂所接触的指示语,并能按照指令做出相应的动作。

Teaching steps:
Step1. Warm-up/ Revision
1. Greetings.
2. Sing the song “Hide and Seek.”
3. Read the letters by cards.
Step2. Presentation
1. Say the chant. “I have a pencil. Me too.” Revise the animal words: cat, pig, monkey, mouse,
panda and so on.
2. Teach: big, small, so. Look at the pictures. T: Look at the pig. It’s big. It’s SO big. Pay an
attention to the word “ SO”. T: Look at the mouse. It’s small. It’s SO small. Then help the pupils
say: Look at the cat. It’s so fat. Look at the monkey. It’s so funny.
3. Teach “long”, “short” and “It’s has ---” Show the pupils a toy monkey and revise the words: eyes, nose, ears, mouth. Then help the
pupils say: Then monkey has big eyes. It has big eyes. It has small ears. It has a big mouth, etc.
Then help the pupils use the word “and” to say: It has big eyes and small ears. The teacher points at
the monkey’s tail and says: Look, it’s a tail. The monkey has a long tail. Now read after me, a long
tail. Then teach: a short tail, a long nose.
4. Listen to the tape and read the dialogue.
Step3. Practice
1. Revise the animal words: Look. I have a monkey/ rabbit/ panda/ cat/ dog---.
2. Divide the pupils into four groups to describe the animals. For example: Look at the monkey.
It’s so funny. It has a long tail and a big mouth. It has big eyes and small ears.
