(The first period section A 1a-1d) 
 
Teaching aims (教学目标)
巩固前面所学的词汇。
要求掌握以下词汇:  furnitures  people  an  blank

2.Memory competition
1． 利用记忆游戏可以把枯燥的词汇复习变得生动有趣。
2． 锻炼学生的综合归纳能力。
3． 引出新单词。
1. Show a lot of pictures of food, fruit, sports, furnitures,
 school things on the screen, and get Ss to remember the
 names of these things as many as possible .Divide the whole 
 class into 4 groups. Then ask one of each group to write 
down what they have got on the blackboard and see which
group can remember the most words.
2. Tell the Ss that bed, sofa, table are furnitures. 
3. Work on 1a 
  Do you know all the words in the box? Turn to the page
 numbers in brackets and check the words you don’t know.
4. Work on 1b.
 Find words in 1a for the lists below.
 Tell them the meaning of people.
1.利用这个游戏能够充分调动学生的积极性。
 
5.Game: Act and guess (Lucky52) 
 Wok in pairs. One act and the other guess. They can choose 
one topic from the following: Food, Furniture, People, Sports
Adjectives, School things, Prepsition.
6. Make stories
1.       进一步复习词汇，让学生能够从读音、意思、使用方法上多方位掌握词汇。
2.       锻炼学生的发散思维和想象能力。
 
Show several groups of words in 1a on the screen. Get Ss
To make short stories with these words.
1.father   chair   basketball   interesting
2.brother  bed    baseball     boring
3.mother   TV    fruit       relaxing
 
7.Work on 1d
1． 利用猜谜游戏激发兴趣。
2． 复习有关食物的词汇。
3． 复习I like…的句型。
Ss work in pairs. Choose five words from 1a and write
sentences. Say the sentencds. Don’t say the words. Say 
BLANK. Your partner guesses the words. 
Eg: ---I like BLANK for lunch. 
   ---Salad?
8.Work on 1c.
Fill in the blanks with words from1a. (If time is limited,
 this part can be acted as their homework.)

9. Homework
1.       Turn to the vocabulary of Unit 1-3. Find out the words 
you don’t know and remember them..
   2.  Write a short passage about Step 5 (Make stories ).
